University of Michigan Dance Team Auditions for 2012-2013 Season

 

All clinics/auditions will be held in #3275 of the CCRB (Central Campus Recreation Building)

 

1st Clinic & 1st Cuts - Thursday, March 15, 2012 - 8-10 P.M. (Pre-registration 7:30-8 P.M.)

No need to prepare any material, we will teach you that day!

 

2nd Clinic - Friday, March 16, 2012 - 2-4 P.M.

Final Cuts - Sunday, March 18, 2012 - 10 A.M.-1 P.M.

 

Please bring a headshot photo and a $20 audition fee.

       The University of Michigan Dance Team performs on the sidelines of all University of Michigan home football and basketball games and is a competitive dance team that competes nationally each year in Orlando, FL. This team represents and supports The University of Michigan through spirit and was recently awarded the 2010-2011 Outstanding Community Service Award, as well as the Most Collegiate Award at dance team camp in August 2011.  Founded approximately 20 years ago, the team is composed of 27 undergraduate girls that come from a variety of majors, but share a common passion of dance. Along with their coach, the Michigan Dance Team is led by the Executive Board. The Executive Board consists of six team- elected members: two Captains, Treasurer, Public Relations, and Fundraising/Marketing Coordinator.

You can find the team supporting U of M Athletics at many varsity sporting events including all Men's home basketball games and home football games, soccer, tennis, and wrestling. The team also supports the University and its students at other campus events throughout the year.
